If you go down to Atayampalayam near the Avinashi Post area, you will find our place. It is just a standard clothing shop. We have been working out of this space for a while now. The building is not anything special to look at, just four walls and a roof that keeps the rain off the stock. We carry different types of garments but we don't really follow the big trends you see on television. We just stock what people around here actually wear to work or for their daily lives. My hands are usually busy sorting through bundles of cloth that arrive on the trucks. There is always a lot of dust that comes in from the road, so we have to wipe down the counters pretty much every hour. It gets tiring standing on your feet all day, but that is the job. We don't have fancy marketing or signs out front, just the name of the shop so people know they are in the right place. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use flashlights to show people the materials, which is always a bit of a hassle. Most of our regulars live within walking distance of the post office. We just stay open until the sun goes down and then we head home to do it all again the next day.
