Our place is over at No. 1/ H-9 in Thaneer Panthal Colony, right by Annuparpalayam. If you’ve ever been down Avinashi Road, you know how busy this whole area gets with all the textile stuff going on. Adarsh Knitwear is just one part of that big machine. We’ve got rows of knitting machines that make a constant clicking sound all day long. It’s a lot of heat and lint in the air, but that’s just how it is in this line of work. We aren't some fancy office with glass walls. It’s a factory floor where people are busy moving yarn and checking the tension on the machines. We focus on making knitwear that doesn't fall apart after two washes. We don't spend money on big ads or marketing people. Most of our work comes from long-time connections we’ve built up over the years. We start early, usually before the sun gets too hot, and we keep going until the day's quota is met. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend a few hours getting grease on our hands to fix it. That’s just part of the job. The colony is full of other small businesses like ours, so there’s always a lot of movement. It’s a practical, hardworking environment, and we’re just glad to be a part of the local industry here.
