Our place is at No. 16 Karattankadu 3rd Street, right in K. N. P. Colony. We have been working here for quite some time now, just making different types of clothes. It is a simple setup with a bunch of sewing machines and cutting tables spread out across the floor. Most of the people working here are from around the neighborhood, so we all know each other well. It gets pretty noisy during the day when everyone is busy at their stations, but that is just how it is in this line of work. We do not have a fancy showroom or any big signs outside. If you are looking for us, you just look for the building with the stacks of fabric rolls near the door. Some days are faster than others, depending on how many orders we have to get through. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the stitching is done right. The tea break in the afternoon is usually the quietest time of the day. We don't really do anything fancy, just standard garment work. Sometimes we run out of thread or a needle snaps, and someone has to run out and get more. It's a busy little spot but we like it that way. Most of our neighbors are also in some kind of trade, so it feels like a hardworking street. We just stay focused on what is on the table.
