Cads Apparels

We are located at No. 8/340 inside the Shanthi Rice Mill Compound in Annanagar, Arulpuram. Being in a rice mill compound means there is a lot of activity around us that isn't just about clothes. Cads Apparels takes up a fair bit of space in this unit. It’s an interesting place to work because of the mix of businesses nearby. We have our sewing stations set up in rows and there’s usually a lot of chatter while the machines are running. The floor is concrete and can get a bit cold in the winter, so we all wear thick slippers. We spend a lot of our time sorting through different types of cloth and making sure the colors match up. It’s not fancy, and the lighting is just some overhead tubes that flicker every now and then. We have a small area in the corner where we eat our lunch and have some water. The compound is quite large, so it took us a while to get used to the layout when we first moved in. We mostly just focus on the daily pile of work and try to stay on top of the schedule. There is always a lot of loading and unloading of trucks in the compound, so it can get a bit loud. We just put our heads down and keep the needles moving. It’s just us doing our jobs in a busy corner of Arulpuram, making things as they come in and getting them ready for the next stage.
