Varshni Garments

Our shop, Varshni Garments, is at No. 14 in Gayathri Nagar. We are in the Anupparpalayam area, which is known for its many small workshops. The street we are on is usually quiet, but it gets busy when the workers are heading home. Our place is just a single large room. We have piles of garments everywhere and a small desk where we keep our notebook for accounts. We do not have any staff, just the family members who take turns staying at the shop. Most of our time is spent folding clothes or checking them for any problems. The walls are a bit stained from years of work, but we do not mind. There is a small temple nearby and we can hear the music and bells every evening. We do not have any fancy equipment or a computer. We just do everything by hand. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to sit in the dark for a while, but it is just part of living here. We have a group of regular customers who come to us because they know where we are. They often just walk in and start looking through the stacks. We are not trying to be a big company. We just want to do our work and earn a living. It is a quiet and simple life for us here in Anupparpalayam. We just take it one day at a time.
