Soft Hosiery Mills

Soft Hosiery Mills is over here at S. F. No. 421 on A. V. P. Main Road in Anupperpalayam. It’s a busy spot especially in the mornings when the sun hits the front door. We’ve been here a while and the building has seen better days but it works for what we do. The machines hum all day long making that steady rhythm everyone around here knows. Most days start with a cup of tea before we get the spindles moving. It gets pretty loud once everything is running at once. We handle a lot of hosiery work here and the floor is usually covered in bits of thread and fabric scraps by noon. There’s no fancy lobby or anything like that. Just the workspace and some old desks in the corner where we keep the logs. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit but that’s just how things go. The road outside is always crowded with bikes and people heading to work. We just keep our heads down and get the orders ready. It’s not a glamorous job but it’s what we know. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint eventually. Right now we are just focused on getting the boxes packed and out the door. The fan in the back makes a weird clicking noise but it keeps the air moving. We’ve got a small group of people who have been here for years. We just show up and do the work.
