C. R. P. Fashion

We are based in Thanneerpandal Colony, specifically in the East Extension area. The unit number is 5/h. Anupparpalayam is a busy place for this kind of garment work. We call ourselves C. R. P. Fashion. It’s more of a busy workshop than a high-end fashion house. We have rows of sewing machines and the floor is always covered in fabric scraps and loose threads. It’s very noisy when everyone is working at once on their machines. We make all sorts of garments depending on the order we get. The heat can be tough in the summer because the roof is low and made of metal. We don’t have any fancy air conditioning, just some old wall fans that blow the warm air around. I spend my days checking the stitching and making sure the piece counts are right before packing. We get orders from local shops mostly. It’s a family-run kind of place where everyone chips in. My cousins work here too. We drink a lot of strong coffee to stay sharp during the long shifts. The colony is a bit dusty, and the roads are very narrow for the trucks. Sometimes the fabric deliveries get stuck at the main turning. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just do the work and send it out. It’s a simple life, focused on getting the pieces finished before the strict deadline. We’ve been in this spot for a few years.
