Anand Apparels

We run Anand Apparels out of a building at No. 4/5 on J. G. Nagar 5 Street. It’s a decent-sized place for what we do, which is mostly sewing and packing clothes. The street is a bit narrow, so when we have deliveries arriving, things can get a little tight with the trucks. We’ve been in J. G. Nagar for a good bit now and most of our workers live within walking distance. It’s a very local operation. Inside, you’ll find rows of machines and a lot of thread everywhere. We don’t have a fancy sign or anything, just the address on the door. It’s a bit hot in the summer because the fans can only do so much, but we keep the work moving regardless. We aren't a big corporate entity; we’re just a group of people making apparel. Sometimes we have a lot of scrap fabric piled up in the corner waiting to be moved, but that’s just how a garment shop looks. We don't do much marketing or anything like that. We just take the orders that come our way and try to finish them without too many mistakes. It’s honest work. If you walk down 5 Street, you can usually hear the hum of the machines from outside. That’s us. We just keep to our schedule and try to stay organized as much as possible. It is a simple life.
