Grand Hosiery Fashion is right here on Alangadu 1st Street. It's not a huge place, just a regular unit where we get things done every day in Karuvampalayam. We’ve been at No. 65- 1 for a while now. Most days it’s pretty loud with the machines running and people coming in and out to check on orders. We spend a lot of time just making sure the stitches are right and the fabric isn't bunching up. It gets a bit dusty inside, but that’s just part of working with hosiery. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. Our neighbors know us well, and we usually see the same delivery guys every morning. It’s not fancy work, just honest labor. We handle the cutting and the sewing right here on the floor. People sometimes stop by to ask for directions since the street can be a bit confusing if you aren't from around here. We try to keep things organized, but when a big shipment is ready, there are boxes everywhere. It’s a busy spot. We just focus on the next pile of clothes and getting through the day's list. That’s pretty much how it goes for us. Nothing too complicated, just a local business keeping at it. We also have to watch the inventory closely because we don't have much extra storage space in the back.
