A. P. R. S Garments

We have been here at No. 18/34 Bridge Way Colony Extension 4th Street for a while now. Most days start early with the sound of the shutters going up. It is a quiet enough street compared to the main roads, but we stay busy with the machines running. Usually, there are stacks of fabric sitting near the door waiting to be cut. We just focus on getting the work done one day at a time. The light in the workshop is better in the mornings, which helps when you are looking at small details on a collar or a hem. Sometimes the power goes out, and everything stops for a bit, so we sit outside and wait for it to come back. People in the colony know where we are. We don't have a big sign or anything fancy. Just the name A. P. R. S Garments on the door. Our desks are messy with thread and bits of leftover cloth, but we know where everything is. It is not a very big space, so we have to keep things organized or you can’t even walk through the room. We drink tea around eleven and talk about the orders we have to finish by the end of the week. The 4th Street address is easy to find if you know the bridge way. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, making clothes and making sure the quality is okay before anything leaves the building.
