You can find us at No. 155 Mahalaxmi Garden in the 15 Velampalayam area. It is a busy neighborhood and we fit right in with the rest of the shops. We started this place because we wanted to work for ourselves. We don't have a giant staff or a corporate office. It is just a few of us and some sewing machines. The shop is usually a bit messy with threads on the floor and stacks of fabric waiting to be cut. We don't mind it much. It shows we are busy. We mostly do tailoring for people who live nearby. They bring in a piece of cloth and we turn it into something they can wear. Sometimes we make mistakes and have to start over, but that is part of the job. We don't use fancy software to design things. We just use a tape measure and some chalk. The benches are old and the fans make a bit of a clicking noise, but they keep the air moving. Velampalayam is a place where everyone is always working, so we fit right in. We don't have a website or a big marketing plan. We just open the shutters in the morning and get to work. People know us for being honest about how long a job will take. If we are backed up, we tell you straight. It is just a simple way to run a business.
