Down at Sripathi Nagar 15- Velampalayam, you’ll find us at Aeon Garments. It’s a bit of a tucked-away spot, but we’ve been here long enough that most of the neighbors know where we are. The workshop is usually full of the sound of machines running. It gets pretty loud during the day when everyone is working on a big order. We spend most of our hours looking at fabric and making sure the stitching is done right. It’s a lot of manual work and your back starts to ache after a while, but that’s the job. The area around Velampalayam is always busy with textile work, so we fit right in with the rest of the businesses here. We have a small office in the front where we keep the papers and talk to anyone who drops by. The air in Sripathi Nagar 15 can get a bit humid, especially in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going as much as we can. We aren't a massive factory, just a group of people who know how to put clothes together. We get our materials delivered through the narrow roads, which is always a bit of a squeeze for the trucks. Every day is pretty much the same routine of cutting, sewing, and packing things up into boxes. We just keep our heads down and get the work done as best as we can without making too much of a fuss about it.
