Amarjothi Bricks

We are located at 55 on the Sorakayalnatham Road in the Patchur area. Amarjothi Bricks has been operating out of this lot for some time now. It is a dusty kind of job, making bricks all day under the sun. The road is often busy with tractors and local traffic moving between the villages. We have a large open area where the raw materials are kept and the finished bricks are stacked up in rows. It isn't a fancy setup by any means. There is a small office shack where we keep the receipts and take a seat when the sun gets too hot. Most of the guys working here live nearby in Patchur, so we all know each other pretty well. We start early in the morning before the heat gets too bad. The smell of the earth and the sound of the molds being filled is just part of our daily life. Sometimes the rain causes us trouble and we have to pause everything, but that’s just how it goes. We don't do much advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here at number 55. We just focus on getting the stacks ready for the next truck that comes down Sorakayalnatham Road. It is straightforward work and it keeps us all fed. We don't ask for much more than a good day of dry weather.
