Sri Sai Baba Rice Mill

Running a rice mill like ours at D.No. 6-206 on Gnr Road takes up most of our time. It’s a noisy place with the machines going all day, but you get used to the sound after a while. We process the grain that comes in from local farms around Tetaguntatuni Mandal. It’s hard work and the dust gets everywhere, no matter how much we sweep. My father started this and now I handle the day-to-day stuff with a few workers from the village. The equipment is old but it still runs fine if you know how to fix the belts. People bring their bags in and wait or come back later. We don't have a fancy office, just a small corner with a table and a couple of chairs. The rain sometimes slows things down because the roads get muddy around Gnr Road. We just do what needs to be done. It’s not a corporate setup, just a local mill. Sometimes the line gets long during harvest season. We try to get through it as fast as we can. It’s a lot of lifting and moving sacks around. You won't find any shiny brochures here. Just the smell of fresh rice and the sound of the huller. We’ve been here in the mandal for a long time. Everyone knows the spot near the 6-206 mark. It’s just how we make a living.
