You can find us in Santhipuram Village, which is part of the Santhipuram Mandal in the Chittoor district. It’s a quiet place, and our office fits right in with the rest of the village. We are Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Nidhi Limited. We don't have any big signs or flashy lights. Our office is just a simple room where we do our work. Most of the people who come to see us are our neighbors or people from the nearby farms. They come in to talk about their savings or to see how their accounts are doing. We sit and talk with them like regular people do. There is no corporate talk here. We just use plain English and our local language. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how it is here in the village. We focus on the daily tasks of keeping the ledgers updated and making sure all the money is accounted for. It’s a lot of sitting and writing, but we don’t mind. We like being part of this community. People know they can just walk in and find us at our desks. We don’t have a lot of staff, just a couple of us who know the ropes. We keep things moving along at a steady pace. It’s not a fast life, but it’s a good one, and we are happy to be here in Chittoor.
