Down on Machupalli Road in Ukkayapalli, you will find Sree Ramanjaneya Rice Industry at D.No.2/2082/1. This is a big shed where we handle a lot of rice every single day. It’s a busy environment with people moving bags and machines running from sunrise. I started working here years ago and now I help run the daily operations. We get a lot of paddy coming in from the local fields. The smell of raw rice is everywhere and it’s something you get used to after a while. We have large dryers and sorting machines that take up most of the space. It isn't a quiet place to work, but we like the rhythm of it. During the peak season, we are here until late at night making sure everything is bagged and ready. The floor is often covered in loose grains, and we have to be careful not to slip. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just focus on the machines and the grain. The trucks line up outside the gate, and there is always someone shouting instructions over the noise. It’s a practical business. We deal with farmers and wholesalers mostly. Our office is just a small room with a fan and some chairs for visitors. We’ve built this up over time and it’s a big part of our lives now in Ukkayapalli. We just try to keep things moving.
