Rural Water Supply & Sanitation

You can find us in Tirupati, right on the first floor of the Shilpi Brahma Apartments in NGO Colony. Our office for Rural Water Supply & Sanitation is located on K T Road, which is a pretty well-known part of town. We are right above some other shops, so there is always a bit of a buzz around the building. Our main job is to look after the water and sanitation needs in the surrounding rural areas. It’s a lot of technical work mixed with a lot of coordination. The office is filled with diagrams of pipes, water tank plans, and files on various village projects. It’s not a polished corporate space; it looks like a place where real work happens. We have a few staff members who are usually busy on the phone or out in the field checking on the progress of a well or a pipeline. Tirupati gets very hot, so we are thankful for the fans in the office during the summer months. We deal with everything from small repairs to larger water schemes. It’s a practical job that requires a lot of patience. We don't really have a big public relations department. If there’s a problem with the water supply, we just get to work on fixing it. Being near K T Road makes it easy for contractors and local leaders to drop by and talk to us about their concerns. It’s a straightforward operation and we like it that way.
