Nakka Venkatagiri Fabrics Producer Company Limited

We are over here at house number 18-452 in Venkatagiri town. Most people know this place for the fabric work we do. It’s not a big fancy office or anything like that, just a group of us working together as Nakka Venkatagiri Fabrics Producer Company Limited. Every morning we start early when the sun comes up. The looms take up a lot of space in the rooms and it gets quite loud when everyone is busy. We deal with different types of fabrics every day. Some days the threads get tangled and we have to spend an hour just fixing one small mistake. Sometimes the weather makes the work hard because the humidity affects the threads. We just keep going because that’s what we know how to do. Most of the people working here have been doing this since they were young. We learned from our parents and they learned from theirs. It’s just how life goes in this part of town. We don’t have any big slogans. We just try to get the orders done so people can have their cloth. Some days are slow and we sit outside on the steps and talk about the local news or what’s happening in the market. Then we go back inside and get back to the machines. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. If you walk down our street, you’ll hear the clicking sounds of the work happening. It's just a normal day for us here in Venkatagiri.
