We are located at Shop No. 28 in the S.V. High School Ground Complex on Prakasham Road. It is an interesting spot because we are right by the school grounds. During the day, we hear the kids playing and the whistles from the sports coaches. The shop is small but we have packed it with all the digital photo gear we need. People come in for all sorts of photos, from passport shots to family portraits. Sometimes the dust from the school ground blows in, so we are always cleaning the glass and the camera lenses. Prakasham Road is usually busy with people heading to the market or the school. We have some samples of our work on the walls, mostly photos of people from the neighborhood. The lighting inside is a bit bright because we need it for the shots, but it makes the shop feel a bit more open. We spend a lot of time on the computer, retouching the images or adjusting the colors before they go to the printer. It’s a good place to work because you get to see so many different faces every day. We’ve been in this complex for a while and have seen many students grow up. It’s just a regular photo shop where we try to make sure people look like themselves in the pictures we take for them. Every day brings someone new with a different story or a different reason for a photo.
