J. P. Sainath Stores

J. P. Sainath Stores is located at 3/74 on Grand Trunk Road in the Pogathota area. We’ve been here for a good while now, watching the traffic go by on the main road every single day. It’s a noisy place with all the trucks and cars, but you get used to it. The shop isn't huge, but we pack in as much as we can on the shelves. Most of the people who come in are locals from around Pogathota who have been shopping with us for years. We know most of their names and what they usually need before they even ask. Sometimes we run out of stock on things, or the morning delivery is late because of a jam on the Grand Trunk Road, but we do what we can. It’s just a small team here, mostly family and a couple of helpers. We spend our days arranging items, chatting with the regulars, and keeping the place clean. There is always dust coming in from the road, so someone is usually holding a broom. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the day to start. It’s simple work, but it keeps the neighborhood going. We don’t promise anything fancy, just that we are here at our spot near the road if you need something. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside, but that’s just part of the charm.
