3D Tile Enterprises

Down at Plot No. 7 in the industrial estate, you’ll find 3D Tile Enterprises. It’s a large, open space because tiles take up a lot of room and they are heavy to move around. We have crates stacked up everywhere, and the air usually has a bit of fine dust in it from the ceramics. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear your best clothes. We spend a lot of our time moving boxes with a hand trolley and making sure everything is where it should be. The industrial estate can be a bit of a maze, but Plot No. 7 is right in the thick of it. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the stock without breaking anything. The roof is corrugated metal, so when it rains, you can barely hear yourself think inside. We’ve got a small area with a table where we can show people the different patterns, but mostly it’s just a warehouse feel. People come in looking for something specific for their floors or walls, and we go through the stacks until we find the right match. It’s physical work, and by the end of the day, our backs usually ache a bit. We don’t do much in the way of advertising; people usually just hear about us from someone else who bought tiles here before. It’s a steady way to work, and we’ve been doing it like this for years.
