Brunton Aster Hotel

We are located at 10-34 on Gandhi Road Extension in Chittoor. The hotel is an old building that has seen a lot of people come and go over the years. It is right on a busy stretch of road, so there is always something happening outside. Inside, it is a bit quieter, but you can still hear the honking from the street. We spend our days checking people in, showing them to their rooms, and making sure the linens are clean. It’s a lot of physical work, honestly. The hallways are long and we spend a lot of time walking back and forth. We don't have those fancy automated systems you see in the big city hotels. We do a lot of things by hand, writing in ledgers and keeping track of keys. The lobby has some old chairs that have been there forever. We keep a big jug of water out for anyone who comes in from the heat, because Chittoor gets incredibly hot in the summer. Our staff is mostly local folks who have been with us for years. We know which rooms have the best breeze and which ones get the morning sun. It is a simple place to stay for people passing through. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just provide a room and a bed and try to be helpful when someone asks for a recommendation for a place to eat. It is just a modest hotel run by local people.
