Bdr Granites

You can find Bdr Granites over at No. 86 Padmavati Puram. It’s not a very big operation, just a few of us working here every day. We don’t have a website or anything like that because we’re usually too busy out in the yard. The stone comes in on trailers and we have to find a spot for every piece. Sometimes the yard gets so full that it’s hard to walk through, but we know where everything is. We spend most of our time out in the heat, checking the polish on the slabs or talking to the drivers. The street in Padmavati Puram is usually quiet, except when the crane is running. We don’t use any marketing tricks or try to act bigger than we are. If we have the stone you want, we tell you. If we don’t, we might know who does. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it has worked for us so far. The guys have calloused hands and they don't say much, but they know how to move a three-ton slab of rock without a scratch. When it gets late and the shadows get long across the granite, we start cleaning up the tools and locking the shed. It’s honest work, and even though the stone is cold and hard, there’s something nice about seeing a finished piece go out on a truck. We just stay focused on the tasks in front of us.
