Amara Raja Batteries Ltd.

Out here on Cuddapah Road in Renigunta, we have our setup for Amara Raja Batteries Ltd. It’s a big operation located in Karakambadi, which is part of the Tirupati area in Chittoor. The site is quite large because of the kind of work we do. There are trucks coming and going all the time, mostly moving heavy goods. We spend our shifts making sure the production lines are moving and that the inventory is where it needs to be. It’s hot work, especially in this part of the country, but we are used to it by now. The facility has been here for years and is a major part of the local landscape. Most people in the nearby villages know someone who works here. It isn't a flashy place. It's an industrial plant with lots of concrete and steel. We have a routine that we follow every day to keep things safe and orderly. The sound of the machinery is pretty constant. We deal with a lot of raw materials and heavy equipment. It takes a lot of people to keep a place like this running smoothly. We don’t talk much about goals or visions. We just focus on the battery units sitting in front of us. It’s honest work that keeps the lights on for a lot of families in the Chittoor district. We’re just another part of the industrial belt here.
