Amara Raja Batteries Ltd. has been here on Renigunta-Cuddapari Road for a while now. Most people in Karamabadi know the spot because it’s hard to miss when you’re driving past. It gets pretty dusty out here, but we keep the gates open and the work moving. Being in the battery business means things are always heavy. We spend a lot of time moving crates and checking stock in the warehouse. It’s not a quiet place, that’s for sure. You’ll hear the forklifts going most of the morning and the trucks backing in from the main road. The guys here have been working together for years, so we all know the routine. We don’t really do much fancy talk. If someone needs a battery or has a question about a shipment, we just deal with it. Some days are longer than others, especially when a big order comes in right before we plan to head home. We just grab a tea from the stall down the road and get back to it. It’s practical work. We’ve got the space we need here in Karamabadi to handle the volume. Sometimes the heat gets to be a bit much in the afternoons, so we take shifts to stay out of the sun. It’s just how we run things. Nothing too complicated, just keeping the batteries moving and making sure the trucks get loaded correctly before they head out on the highway. We’ve got plenty of chargers and testers lying around, and there is always a bit of a sulfur smell in the air.
