Thirumalai Nambi Travels

Thirumalai Nambi Travels is based in Magiladi, specifically on Uchimagaliamman Kovil Theru. We are right there in the Kalakad area of Tirunelveli. It’s a quiet street most of the time, except when there is a festival at the temple. We’ve been in this spot for several years now. It started with just one car that I bought second-hand, and slowly we added a couple more as things picked up. We are very close to Thirukurunkudi, so we end up going that way quite often. The office is just a small space in the front of the house. We don't have any shiny signs or fancy uniforms for the drivers. It’s just me and a few guys from the neighborhood. We know these roads better than anyone else because we grew up riding bicycles on them. Sometimes the traffic near the temple gets a bit heavy, but we know how to navigate around it. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the district. We just want to stay busy and keep the cars running. A lot of our regulars are older folks going to the temple or families visiting relatives. We don't have any big mission or anything like that. We just take the bookings as they come in. Some days the phone doesn't stop ringing, and other days we just sit and talk shop. It’s a simple way to live, and we like being part of the community here in Magiladi.
