Thirumalai Chemicals

We are set up at 80, Kannamman Kovil Street, which is right near Tirunelveli Junction. Being close to the Porna Kala Theatre makes it easy to explain where we are to people who haven't visited before. Thirumalai Chemicals is a place where we handle different kinds of supplies for various uses. It’s not the biggest shop, but we use every inch of the space we have. The street can get a bit tight when delivery vans are trying to get through. We’ve been around this area for quite some time. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of people moving around the junction. We spend most of our time organizing containers and checking our stock levels. It’s a lot of inventory management. We don't have a big staff, so we all do a bit of everything. Sometimes the smell of the supplies is a bit strong, but we’re used to it by now. We just try to keep things orderly so we can find what customers need quickly. It’s a simple operation. No big marketing stuff, just a local spot near the theatre where we do our daily work. We’ve known the other shopkeepers on the street for years. It’s just how things are done here. We lock up when the work is done and come back to do it again the next morning. There's always something to organize in the back.
