Sri Mathangi Book Centre

We are located in the Raja Building at 52C/52, right on the Junction Main Road. It’s basically right across from the main bus stand, so there’s always a lot of noise and people rushing around outside our windows. Sri Mathangi Book Centre is a place where we keep a lot of different books and papers piled up. It isn’t the most organized place in the world, but we usually know where everything is. We spend our days helping students and people who are just passing through the junction. The bus stand across the way brings in all sorts of folks, and some of them wander in while they are waiting for their ride. We’ve been here for quite a while now. The building is old and sometimes the fans make a lot of noise, but it’s our home during the day. We don’t have a big corporate structure or anything like that. It’s just a family-run book shop. We don’t really do any advertising because the location does the work for us. We just try to keep enough stock on the shelves so people can find what they need. It’s a busy life, especially during the school season when everyone is looking for supplies. We just take it as it comes and keep the doors open from morning to night.
