Sita Lakshmi Travels

Sita Lakshmi Travels has its small office at 23 Main Road in Cheranmahadevi. We are situated right near the bus stand, which is probably the busiest part of this whole area. There is always a lot of noise from the buses and people shouting, but that is just how it is in Tirunelveli. We have been running travels from this spot for a while now. Our main work involves taking people on longer trips or helping out when the local buses are just too crowded. We have a couple of cars and a van that we keep as clean as the dusty roads allow. Most of our bookings come from people walking over from the bus stand because they missed their connection or need a more private way to travel. The office is just a simple room with a table and some benches for people to sit on while they wait. We don't use any fancy booking systems; we just write everything down in a big diary. The drivers are local men who know every pothole from here to the next town. We aren't trying to be a big company. We just like being in Cheranmahadevi and helping folks get where they need to go. Sometimes the work is slow and we just sit and watch the traffic, but other days we are out on the road until late at night. It is just the way it goes.
