SILKY WEAVES PRIVATE LIMITED

Silky Weaves Private Limited is based out of Rishab Residency, number 199, on Dr. Tamilannal Salai in Sankar Nagar. It’s a bit of an interesting location because it feels a little more like a residential area than a hard industrial zone. Our office is a simple setup within the building. We’ve got enough room for our files and a couple of tables where we can spread out the fabrics we are working with. Sankar Nagar is a decent place to be, and the commute isn't too bad most days compared to other parts of the city. We spend a lot of our time coordinating between the people who make the cloth and the people who want to buy it. It involves a lot of checking for small defects and making sure the colors are actually what they are supposed to be. Some days we are just sitting here waiting for samples to arrive, and other days we don't even have time to eat lunch because everything is happening at once. The office doesn't have any of those modern open-plan designs. It’s just a few rooms where we can focus on the work. We’ve got a small kettle for making coffee and a few chairs for visitors, though we don't get many people just dropping by. It’s a quiet, steady kind of business. We just keep our heads down and try to keep things moving forward.
