Senthil Kumar

This is Senthil Kumar’s setup over in Thiru Nagar, which is part of the NGO A Colony in Palayamkottai. We are down here in the Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu. It’s quite far south, and the weather is almost always warm. Our office is at H 62, and it’s a fairly basic building. We don’t have anything fancy like air conditioning in every room, just some sturdy fans that keep the air moving. The neighborhood is mostly houses, so it’s pretty calm compared to the main city areas. We start our day early before it gets too hot. Most of the time, we are just sitting at our desks handling the local work that comes our way. There are plenty of trees around the colony, which makes the walk to the office quite nice in the mornings. We have a small porch where we sometimes take our breaks and watch the neighbors go by. It’s a very local feel here. Everyone knows everyone else in Thiru Nagar. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and we don’t really feel the need to move somewhere bigger or more modern. The furniture is all mismatched and we have stacks of ledgers and books everywhere. It’s a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. It’s just a regular local business where we put in our hours and go home to our families at the end of the day.
