The Rr Inn is located right by Tirunelveli Junction on Old Madurai Road. Since we are part of Om Shakthy Hospitalities Private Ltd, there is always something going on with the rooms or the guests. Being near the junction means there are always people coming and going at odd hours. Sometimes the trains are loud, but that is just part of being in this part of town. We spend a lot of time making sure the beds are made and the floors are scrubbed. It is a lot of work running an inn in such a busy area. Most of the people who stay with us are just passing through for a night or two. They want a place to sleep that is close to the station, and we provide that. We have a small team here, and we all pitch in with whatever needs doing, whether it is checking someone in or fixing a leaky tap. It gets humid here in Tirunelveli, so we try to keep the fans going. It is not a five-star resort, just a practical place for travelers. We see families, business people, and students. Sometimes we sit out front and watch the traffic on Old Madurai Road when things are slow. It’s a decent living, even if the days are long.
