Down on Sharon Street in Bharathy Nagar, you'll find us near the Nggo Colony area, not too far from the Tirunelveli Junction. Royal Hospital For Children And Newborns is a place specifically built for the little ones. Since we deal with babies and kids, the vibe here is a bit different from a regular hospital. We try to keep things a bit more relaxed so the children don’t get too scared. There are some colorful pictures on the walls and the furniture is sized for kids. It’s a busy place because newborns need a lot of attention. Our nurses are very good with the babies and they have a lot of patience with nervous new parents. We don’t have any fancy corporate slogans. We just talk to parents like regular people. If a child is sick, we explain what is happening in simple terms. The street outside is usually quiet, which is good for the patients. Being near the Tirunelveli Junction makes it easy for people to find us, even if they are coming from outside the city. We keep the place very clean, which is the most important thing for newborns. We don’t have a big PR department. Most people find out about us from other parents at the park or school. It’s hard work, especially during the night shifts, but it’s what we do. We’re just a local hospital for the next generation and we stay busy.
