R. T. Store

R. T. Store is located at number 10 in Palavankottai Village, right in the Kovilpatti Talk area. It’s a small place, honestly. We’ve been here for quite some time, and the building has seen better days, but it serves us well. Most of the people who come in are our neighbors from around the village. We know almost everyone by name, and if we don’t, we probably know their family. It’s not the kind of shop you’d see in a big city. We keep things on the shelves where they fit, and sometimes it looks a bit crowded. There isn’t a computer system or anything like that; we just use a ledger and a pen. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fan going full blast. We don’t have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just open up in the morning and see who stops by. Sometimes people just stay for a chat. That is just how life is here in Palavankottai. Dealing with the daily needs of the village keeps us busy. It’s a quiet life, mostly. We try to keep the basics in stock. If someone needs something specific, we try to get it for them next time we go into town. R. T. Store isn't anything special to look at, but it's our place and we’re here every day. It is just a part of the village now.
