P.R.B. Poly Print Bags

Down here in Ariyanayagipuram, our shop is on South Car Street, near the temple area. It’s a small town in Ambasamudram Taluk, and everyone knows everyone else. P.R.B. Poly Print Bags is where we spend our days working with the printing machines. The air always smells a bit like ink and plastic. We have the machines running in the back, making a steady rhythmic thumping sound that you get used to after a few minutes. We print names and logos on all sorts of bags for local shops and events. The street outside can get very crowded during festival times when the car is taken out, but most days it is just cows and the occasional motorbike passing by. Our building is at 3/96A and it’s been part of this street for a long time. We have rolls of plastic and stacks of finished bags everywhere. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait for the generator to kick in so we can finish a run. We do most of the work ourselves, from loading the ink to packing the bundles. It’s honest work and we take it as it comes. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just talk to people who come to the door or call us up. The floor is stained with different colors of ink, and there’s always a cup of tea sitting on a workbench somewhere.
