If you go down to Mela Periya Street in Mukkudal, you’ll find us at number 636. Ponshika Minerals has been operating out of this spot for a while. Mukkudal is the kind of place where everyone sort of knows what everyone else is doing. Our street can get a little noisy with all the movement, but we like it that way. It feels like things are happening. We deal with minerals every day, so there’s always something to move or load. It’s physical work and it keeps us on our toes. We don’t use any of those big corporate slogans or anything. We’re just a local business with a few staff members who show up and do their jobs. Sometimes we sit outside for a bit during our break when it’s not too hot. You see the same faces passing by all the time. We’ve got our routine down pretty well. The building isn’t brand new, it has some character and a few cracks here and there, but it works for what we do. We don't see the need for anything flashier. As long as we can get our work done and help out the people who come to us, we’re happy. Mukkudal is a good town for a business like ours. It’s straightforward and honest, just like the way we try to run things here on Mela Periya Street.
