Om Sakthi Lakshmi Travels is located in Surandai, over in the Tirunelveli district. We are a small local travel business that has been around for some time. We don't have any flashy signs or a big corporate identity. It is just a few of us with our cars, trying to make a living. Most of our bookings come from word of mouth in the village. We know the people here and they know they can trust us to get them to their destination. We don't have a dedicated office staff or anything like that. If the phone rings, whoever is free picks it up. We spend most of our time out on the road, going back and forth between Surandai and the main city. The traffic can be a real headache sometimes, especially on festival days, but we’ve learned the best times to travel. We don't have any mission statements or corporate values. We just want to do our job and go home to our families. The cars are just regular vehicles that we use every day. We do our own cleaning and basic maintenance when we have some downtime. It’s not a fancy life, but we are our own bosses. We’ve seen other bigger companies come and go, but we just keep doing what we do. If someone needs a ride for a wedding or a trip to the airport, they know where to find us. We just keep things practical and honest.
