Mariyammal Cabs

Mariyammal Cabs is based in Surandai, a busy part of Tirunelveli. We have been running this business for a few years now, and we are quite well-known in the local area. We don't have a big office building; we mostly just operate from where we park our cars. It’s a very simple setup. Most of us drivers are friends or relatives who decided to start this together. We don't use any polished marketing or have a team of people handling our phones. It’s just us. We know all the lanes and shortcuts in Surandai, which helps when the market gets crowded. We don't have any fancy uniforms, just our regular clothes. We spend a lot of our time sitting at the tea stall waiting for someone to call for a ride. The cars are just basic models that we try to keep in good working order. Sometimes we have to spend the whole Sunday fixing a suspension or an engine issue. We don't have any big slogans or promises. We just show up when we say we will and take people where they need to go. Most of our customers are locals who need to go to the hospital or the railway station. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It’s a tough job sometimes with the heat and the traffic, but it keeps us going. We’ve been here a while and we plan to stay here, just driving our cabs and helping out the neighborhood.
