Devendra Clinic

Devendra Clinic is tucked away at No 7 in Samathanapuram. We are right along the Military Line in Palayamkottai, which is a fairly quiet and stable part of the neighborhood compared to the city center. It’s a small clinic, nothing like those big city hospitals you see on television. We’ve been operating out of this spot for many years now. Most of the people who come in are our neighbors from around Samathanapuram. We know many of them by name because they’ve been coming here for a long time for their check-ups. The Military Line is a good landmark if you’re trying to find us for the first time. We keep things very basic inside the clinic. There’s a waiting area and the consultation rooms, and that’s about it. We don't go for anything fancy or complicated decorations. It’s just a place to come when you need a doctor’s eye on something that's bothering you. Life moves at its own pace here in Palayamkottai. We try to keep up with the daily flow of patients without making a big fuss about things. Sometimes it gets a little crowded in the morning, but we work through it together. It’s a simple local clinic run by people who live nearby. We just want to be there for the community when they need us. That’s why we stay in this same spot year after year without moving. It's home for us.
