Autobots

We are on the first floor at number 10 on Manickam Street. It's right near Arasan Eye Hospital. Sometimes people get lost and call us from the hospital gate because they can't find the entrance. We have been here for a good bit now. The stairs are a bit steep and they creak every time someone walks up. It gets quite hot in the afternoon but we have a small fan that helps keep the air moving. We deal with car stuff mostly. The name Autobots sounds like it belongs in a movie but we are just regular guys working on engines and various parts. Sometimes the street gets completely blocked by big trucks but that is just Veerappanchatram for you. I remember when we first moved into this space, the walls were bare. Now we have metal shelves everywhere. It is a bit messy with tools and random papers but we know where everything is. People stop by just to chat because they know we are local and we have been here forever. We don't have a big fancy office. It is just a plain work space with a small desk tucked in the corner. If you are looking for us, look for the eye hospital and then walk down the street. Most days we are here from early morning until the sun goes down. We don't really do much advertising because folks around here just know the name. It is a simple life. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing.
