Arumugam Traders

Arumugam Traders is located at No:202/15 on CSI Church Street in Alangulam. Being on Church Street means it’s usually pretty peaceful, except for Sunday mornings when everyone is heading to service. We’ve been in this part of Alangulam for a long time. The shop is small but we pack a lot into it. It’s the kind of place where people stop by just to say hello even if they don’t need to buy anything that day. We know most of the families around here. It’s a local business through and through. We don’t do things in a very complicated way. We keep our records, talk to our suppliers, and try to make sure we have what people are looking for. Sometimes the rain comes down hard and we have to scurry to move things away from the door. The street is narrow, so when a delivery truck comes, everything else has to stop. It’s just the way life is here. We aren't looking to become some giant corporation; we are quite happy just being a part of the neighborhood. My cousin helps out sometimes when things get busy. We mostly just drink our tea and wait for the next person to walk in. It’s a slow pace compared to the big cities, and we like it that way. No big goals, just keeping the shop running well and staying active in the community.
