Aravind Eye Hospital

If you walk down S N High Road, you will eventually run into us. Aravind Eye Hospital has been sitting on this stretch for quite some time now. The road is always loud with traffic, bikes zooming past and people shouting, but once you step inside, it is a bit different. We aren't trying to be anything other than a local place for people to get their eyes looked at. There isn't a team of marketing people writing this; it's just us at the front desk or in the rooms. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint if we ever got around to it, but the equipment works and that is what matters most to the patients who visit us. We see a lot of regulars who have been coming to us for years and years. They know our names and we know theirs. It's a simple arrangement that seems to work for everyone. Some days are slower than others, which gives us time to catch up on paperwork or just sit for a second. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. Everything happens right here on S N High Road. If you need something, you just come in and talk to whoever is at the counter. We try to keep things organized, though sometimes files pile up or the waiting room gets a bit full. It is a real place with real people working every day.
