Anu Plastic Works

Our place is located at 123A/4 on Trivandrum Road. It’s basically right across from the Palai Municipal Office, which makes it easy for people to give directions. We do a lot of plastic work here, mostly custom stuff or repairs that people bring in. It's a messy shop, to be honest. There are scraps of material and tools lying around on the benches. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. The road outside is always loud with buses and cars going toward the center of town. We get a lot of walk-in traffic because of the government office nearby. People stop in while they’re out running errands. It’s mostly just hard work and long hours. We don't spend money on fancy signs or decorations. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy for that. My brother and I run the machines mostly. It gets pretty hot inside during the afternoons, so we usually keep the front shutters halfway up to catch a breeze. We’ve seen the town grow up around us. It’s a decent living. We don't try to be anything we're not. We just make the plastic parts people need and try to stay out of trouble. Sometimes the rain leaks in near the back door, so we have to move the stock around. It is just the way things go in an old building like this one.
