Amazing Flutes

I guess we have been here on Bangala Street for quite a few years now. The shop is at number 123 A, right in the Pettai area. It gets a bit noisy sometimes because of the traffic outside, but we just get on with things. Usually, there are instruments laying around in different stages of being finished. We spend most of the day checking the wood or the bamboo and making sure the holes are where they need to be. It is not a big fancy office or anything like that. It’s just a workspace with a lot of dust and tools. Some days the weather makes the wood act up, and we have to wait for things to dry properly before we can do much else. People from the neighborhood stop by sometimes just to see what is happening. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know how to handle the materials. We started out small and stayed that way because it's easier to keep track of everything ourselves. The street can get crowded during the festival times, which makes moving stuff in and out a bit of a headache. But that is just how it is living and working here in Pettai. We keep the doors open most of the day unless it’s raining too hard. There’s always a lot of sanding to do, which is the part I like least because of the mess it makes on the floor.
