Our business, Ajaad Stud And Livestock (Opc) Private Limited, is located at No.5, Athikattuvalasuelumathur Post. It's out in a more rural part of the region where there is space for the animals. We focus on horses and other livestock. A stud farm requires a lot of space and a lot of patience. Most of our day is spent outdoors in the stables or out in the fields. We have to make sure the animals are fed, groomed, and exercised properly. It’s a lot of physical work, mucking out stalls and moving heavy bales of hay. The Elumathur area is good for this because it isn't as crowded as the city. We have a small office near the main gate where we keep the papers and breeding records. It’s a quiet life for the most part, centered around the needs of the animals. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy showroom. If people want to see the horses, they come down to the post and see them in the paddock. Sometimes it gets very dusty and the work is exhausting. We deal with vets and other breeders quite a bit. It’s not a hobby; it’s a full-time job that doesn’t really have off-hours. We just care for the livestock and keep the farm running as best as we can every single day. There is always something to fix or an animal to check on before bed.
