Our setup is in Flat No 102 over at Lalamiya Basthi. It’s a bit unusual for some folks to visit an office in a residential block, but it suits the way we work. The space is basically a converted apartment, so we have the kitchen for our endless rounds of coffee and a small balcony where we go to get some air. Sy No 111/1 isn't a massive corporate park; it's just a regular neighborhood where kids play in the street and people know their neighbors. Because we’re on the ground floor, we get a lot of the street noise, which can be distracting during meetings, but you get used to it after a while. We’ve got desks shoved into every corner to make room for everyone. There’s no big sign out front, just the number on the door. It feels more like a home than a business most of the time. We don’t wear suits or follow a strict nine-to-five schedule. If there’s work to do, we stay until it’s finished. Sometimes we’re here late enough that the streetlights are the only thing on. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we have guests, but we pull up extra chairs and make it work. It’s an honest way to run things, without the fluff of a fancy office building. We like the quiet of the basthi compared to the main road. The neighbors are mostly used to us being here by now.
