We set up A N N Agriculture News Netwark in the Godavari District some time ago. Being out here at Survey No. 301 in the Industrial Area means we are right where things are moving. It gets pretty dusty and busy during the harvest season. People ask why we do news for agriculture. Well, around here, the soil and the water are what keep everyone going. It isn't a fancy office. We have desks and some computers, and there is usually tea on the table for anyone who drops by. We try to keep track of what's happening in the fields and with the government rules that change every month. It’s hard to stay on top of everything because there is always something new. Some days we are just sitting here making calls or checking the weather reports to see if the rain is going to hold up or if it’s going to pour down and ruin things. The neighbors in the industrial area are mostly factories, so we are a bit different from them. We spend a lot of time talking to folks who grow things. It's not a complicated setup, just a group of us trying to make sure the information gets out to the people who need it. Sometimes the internet is slow or the power cuts out, but we just wait it out and get back to work when it’s on again. It's just a regular day-to-day operation for us.
