Contura Solar India Pvt. Ltd. is based at No. 9 Oil Mill Road. We are part of the Industrial Colony S. O., and we’re right across from Equitas School. If you hear kids playing or the school bell ringing, you know you’re in the right place. Our work is all about solar energy, so we spend a lot of time thinking about the sun and how to catch its rays. The office is a bit of a mix of paperwork and piles of solar panels waiting to be moved. We have a crew that goes out to install these things on rooftops all over the area. It’s hot work, especially in the summer months, but it keeps us busy. We don’t go in for big speeches or fancy sales tactics. Usually, people just want to know how much they can save on their power bills, and we tell them the truth based on what we’ve seen. The Industrial Colony has a lot of different businesses, but we like our little corner on Oil Mill Road. Sometimes the traffic from the school makes it hard to park, but we manage. We aren't trying to change the whole world; we just like helping local people get their own power sorted out. It’s a straightforward business with a lot of manual labor and a bit of technical stuff thrown in. We just show up every morning, load the trucks, and see what the day brings.
