Our office in Vaiyampatti has been here for a while now. We are right at 1/202-1, which is near Manapparai. Just a small group of us work here, handling all the daily paperwork and keeping the books in order. People from around town come by when they need to sort out their accounts or just to ask how the cycles are moving. It gets pretty busy on some mornings, especially when the local shopkeepers drop in. We don't have a big fancy setup or anything. There are just some wooden desks and a few chairs where we sit and talk through the numbers. Being in the Tiruchirappalli district, everyone seems to know each other anyway. It is a quiet enough spot. We handle the collections and make sure the ledgers stay updated every evening. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside a bit messy, but people still make it over to see us. Vaiyai Amico Chit Fund is just sitting right here on the main path through the village. Most of our staff grew up around these parts, so we know the families. The walls have some old calendars hanging up, and the fan makes a bit of noise while we work. We just keep the doors open through the day and get on with things. No big speeches, just keeping the chit cycles going month after month. That is how we spend our time here.
