Telecom Civil

Telecom Civil is based out of Trichy, specifically in the Crawford area. The address is 169/1 on Fourth Cross Street in the Anbu Nagar Extension. V. Anandan runs things here. Trichy is a hot place, and being in a spot like Anbu Nagar means we’re tucked away in a residential-turning-commercial zone. It’s a bit of a maze back here with all the cross streets, but once you find the Fourth Cross, we’re right there. We deal with the civil side of telecom, which usually means a lot of outdoor work, digging, and cable laying. The office is really just the home base where we keep our tools and do the paperwork. It’s a humble setup, nothing like those big offices you see in Chennai. We have workers coming in early to pick up their assignments before heading out to the sites. There’s always some dust on the floor and maps spread out on the tables. Sometimes the neighbors come by for a chat since it’s that kind of neighborhood. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed but we stay busy because there’s always something that needs fixing or installing in the city. Tamilnadu heat doesn’t make the field work easy, so the office is a nice place to sit under the fan and figure out the next day's plan. It’s just a small local operation trying to keep the lines connected and the projects moving forward without too much fuss. We don't worry about being fancy as long as the work is correct.
